![]() I mainly listen to Classic FM and I have done a direct comparison between DAB and FM and can't tell any difference in quality. The tuner does take a few seconds when changing channels on DAB and it only has six preset buttons on the remote but I don't find this a problem as I only use five of them. This has worked very well as the tuner can pick up all the DAB stations and although the DAB aerial has to be vertical due to vertical polarisation, I have found that the Tangent doesn't have a problem picking up most FM stations as well ( horizontal polarisation), although I don't have an FM aerial. Having done research on the DAB transmitters, I decided to fit a directional aerial in my loft facing towards the Basingstoke transmitter. It was delivered quicker than I expected which was a bonus and having installed it I tried using the small aerial that came supplied but that didn't work, which wasn't surprising as I live in a poor signal area. As it needed to go into a small cupboard at the end of my TV unit, it had to be small enough to fit, this limited my choice somewhat but the Tangent seemed to fit the bill. The box finally gave up 'ghost' and so I thought it would a good time to actually install a tuner.
